Only the finest grade “A” American Red Oak is selected for its natural strength and beauty. The wood undergoes a meticulous process, using a wire wheel to enhance its deep grain, bringing out the character of the wood in a way that only time-honored techniques can achieve. The surface is then distressed to mimic the wear and tear endured during the industrial age.
Before finishing, the wood is water-soaked to open the grain, allowing artisans to create a finish with tremendous depth. The result? A stunning combination of browns, blacks, greys, and whites, highlighting the unique grain of each piece.
